New technology. New products. Same commitment.

On August 15, 1948, The Credit Bureau of Columbus, Inc, was purchased, later to be named CBC Companies. The first branch bureau, The Credit Bureau of Delaware Ohio, was added in 1963. Over the years, the company has grown through acquisition and successful marketing efforts, ever mindful of its unchanged philosophy of attention and service to the customers.

CBC has always been at the forefront of innovation and automation, with an online collection system started in 1967 – one of the nation’s first - and consumer reporting computerization as early as 1972.  Automation reshaped the industry and CBC Companies led the way.

To meet the needs for precision of information and speed of delivery, CBC Companies developed a state- of- the- art technology center that incorporates high performance hardware and software, enabling hundreds of thousands of transactions to be delivered every day accurately, affordably and dependably in a matter of seconds.

Innovis Data Solutions was purchased by CBC Companies in April, 1999.  This consumer credit information repository collects consumer credit data from credit grantors through out the United States.  Traditional credit resources as well as other industries provide data to Innovis.  Protection of the privacy of consumers as well as preservation of the quality, accuracy and integrity of consumer information is fundamental in the processes developed by Innovis.

In 2005, CBCInnovis became the brand identifying CBC Companies’ broad list of business offerings.  Drawing on the success from the past, the innovation of the technology, and needs of customers, CBCInnovis is one of the nation’s largest owners and operators of credit bureaus. Innovis is now the most advanced online database and inquiry system currently employed in the credit reporting business.
